| Review: | Jaleo is located in uptown Bethesda where all the fancy restaurants are. Expect to see plenty of pedestrian traffic, this area is busy. Jaleo features authentic Spanish Tapas ... and man, is the food absolutely delicious. Pricing is fair, you're looking to pay about $4 - $10 per tapas, which is a bit expensive, but the food and atmosphere is definitely worth it. I've been here many times, and it makes for a great date, either casual, or romantic. I went here for my Valentines day dinner with my Girlfriend. She loved it, and they even gave all the couples roses. It's cozy and nice - but it is a small venue, and there is lots of chatter, and feels a little impersonal. There are no booths, and only tables. There is a decent sized bar located on a plateu in the venue which features some big flat plasma screen tvs to watch the sporting events, and if you aren't up there, don't worry, it won't have any negative effects on your dining experience. I do recommend this venue - it's great for groups and parties, and perfect for the casual date, or in place for a fun romantic one. |
